@mildlyannoyedrabbit I have been doing some research bc there are companies that hire - all their staff as “managers” (without those specific roles) so they are salaried and don’t have to pay overtime or lieu time — and I have been doing quite a bit of hiring lately so I want to be on track and not in contravention of the BC labour law!

This is very interesting to me… I can think of a number of organization who use the term “manager” to avoid paying overtime which is in direct violation of employment law. If you aren’t supervising someone you AREN’T a fucking manager. Rip off artists…
